Saturday evening January 28th the NFM Chamber of Commerce announced their 2012 North Fort Myers Honorary Mayor, Al Giacalone, Sun Country Reality and Homes, who is current Chair of NFM Public Affairs Committee and welcome center volunteer.
Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall and 1st NFM Honorary mayor Tom Cronin, Shell Factory announced the new Honorary Mayor.

The NFM Chamber ire-introduced its monthly newsletter under the new name of Gateway Gazette. Its new features have proved to be a big hit.

Mayor
NFM Chamber honored with Resolution by Lee County Commissioners for the NFM Honorary Mayor program…
The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce received recognition at the Lee County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, March 13.
A Resolution in honor of the Chamber’s North Fort Myers Honorary Mayor program was presented by Tammy Hall, Commissioner for Lee County District 4 during the morning meeting.
The ceremonial, unofficial office of Honorary Mayor of North Fort Myers was created by the North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce in 2006.
On hand to receive the Resolution from Commissioner Hall were NFM Chamber Executive Director Christopher Jackson, Chamber President Dick Collins, and 2012 Honorary Mayor Al Giacalone of Sun Country Realty.
The North Fort Myers Chamber Gold Star Employee Awards are an opportunity for Chamber members to recognize special qualities or efforts by their business's employees.
This includes things like longevity, employee best practices, exceptional customer service skills, creativity, loyalty, leadership, teambuilding, and positive attitude.
